time is of no importance...

In an instant on monday my life was nearly over...

20 yrs working in the construction industry and I've never come close to being a statistic...

on monday at 10:30am that all changed... and it's changed me forever...

no enthralling details here, that's for the workcover investigators, but I can say that I'm physically ok, even after 11,000 volts charged my excavator, surged up both arms and through my body... potentially fatal also to the workers in the general vacinity... a totally avoidable incident... if all the relevant safety procedures had been followed by the developer... if i had been my usual lucky self... if only... if only... too many if's...

it makes me very flockin angry... for many many reasons...

the effect on my young family was the first thing I dwelt on... and then the things I aren't, the things i haven't, the times i didn't, stuff i wouldn't...

i'm still dwelling on all that shit big time... and ive come to realize theres a few things i have to sort out... mainly in my head... but in practice too... i don't feel right about so much just now... so excuse my absence... ill get it back into the swing of things im sure... sometime soon.

until then i REALLY want to wish you all a merry christmas..
i almost took this one for granted.

global best wishes.
michael.
